PhD Position in Experimental Soft Matter Physics

15 PhD positions (“Early Stage Researcher”) in institutions across Europe will be funded by the Marie-Sklodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network “Active Matter: From Fundamental Science to Technological Applications” within the Horizon 2020 Programme of the European Commission. The network will start 1st September 2019. The salary is very competitive and European rules for ESR are applied. 

At the Physics Department of the University of Konstanz, Germany we are looking for a PhD student to work on Controlled Interaction Rules of Active Particles starting from November 2020. The candidate will have preferably a Master degree in Physics, Engineering, or closely related disciplines. Knowledge in active matter, optics and MatLab is required.

In order to be approved for MSCA financing the applicant, at the time for the application, should not have resided in Germany more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the reference date. Moreover the applicant must be in the first four years (full-time equivalent research experience) of their research careers and have not been awarded a doctoral degree.
